Myths Disproved By Breast Cancer Foundation At Highlands Ranch

By Ora Scott

Breast cancer foundation Highlands Ranch is very focused in providing a better environment and extensive support for those women who are suffering from this illness. It is a non-profit organization that helps in the treatment and recovery of patients. It is also responsible for making others aware of the early symptoms, risks, preventive measure, and treatment of the said illness.

For this reason, the said institution aims to educate the people about the illness properly. That is why the volunteers of the entity did their best into establishing the correct facts about it. Moreover, they gave a proper explanation to myths that scare the women.

One of the fallacies being spread about is that only those single and those unmarried can get afflicted with this illness. That is not true as anyone can get sick with this. It all depends on one's family history, age, dietary iodine deficiency, cigarette use, and hormonal levels.

With the said explanation, the myth about acquiring this by using antiperspirant or deodorant is also busted. There is no connection between the two. In addition, wearing tight underwire bra does not increase the risk because the type of clothing one wears does not matter.

It is also said that Sexually Transmitted Disease will increase the possibility of getting this affliction. This is obviously not true. The Sexually Transmitted Disease is a different type of ailment and is not, in any way, related to this. Moreover, there is no research that can prove this theory.

There are also baseless rumors that say this affliction is contagious. Many people believe that this is one of those diseases that can easily be caught. It has been proven by a lot of medical research that this is a type of non-communicable disease.

When it comes to giving hope in life, the volunteers of breast cancer foundation Highlands Ranch does not stop in telling people not to be scared of this disease. This will not kill a woman easily if one just holds on to her dear life. There are women who had the worst case of this illness and yet are still alive even today.
